About the San Fernando Valley
The San Fernando Valley is about 260 square miles situated between the Santa Susana Mountains to the northwest, the Simi Hills to the west, the Santa Monica Mountains and Chalk Hills to the south, the Verdugo Mountains to the east, and the San Gabriel Mountains to the northeast. The Valley is a vibrant, urbanized place, home to 1.8 million people, and lies north of the Los Angeles Basin. Located in Los Angeles County, Calif., nearly two thirds of the Valley's land area is part of the city of Los Angeles. Other incorporated cities in the Valley are Glendale, Burbank, San Fernando, Hidden Hills, and Calabasas.

My Congressional District is the first interactive tool geared exclusively toward finding basic demographic and economic statistics for every congressional district in the U.S. This Web app uses the latest annual statistics from the American Community Survey, providing the most detailed portrait of America's towns and neighborhoods. The results are used by everyone from town and city planners to retailers and homebuilders.
The survey, conducted by the Federal Census, is the only source of local estimates for most of the 40 topics it covers, such as education, occupation, language, ancestry and housing costs for even the smallest communities.
