Cárdenas Leads Letter on Medicare Advantage

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today U.S. Representative Tony Cárdenas led a bipartisan letter with over 260 signatories urging the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to preserve Medicare Advantage.

“Millions of Americans rely on the supplemental coverage they receive from Medicare Advantage. In the San Fernando Valley and around Los Angeles, senior citizens and individuals with disabilities know how critical this program is, and they appreciate that Medicare Advantage puts patients first. I urge the Administration to take note of the strong, bipartisan support behind protecting and strengthening Medicare Advantage.”

Medicare Advantage offers additional choices for the elderly and individuals with disabilities to receive high-quality care that is tailored to their specific health needs. Every year, CMS releases a 60-Day Notice and Draft Call Letter for Medicare Advantage and Part D, which outlines funding levels and program proposals for the following year. The letter was also led by U.S. Reps. Brett Guthrie (KY-02), Erik Paulsen (MN-03), and Earl Blumenauer (OR-03).
