Cárdenas to Represent San Fernando High School During Congressional Baseball Game

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Tomorrow, Congressman Tony Cárdenas (CA-29) will be wearing his San Fernando High School Tigers uniform while playing at the annual bipartisan Congressional Baseball Game. Since 1909, the Congressional Baseball Game has been an annual bipartisan event beloved by all and enjoyed by thousands. Not only is the game a chance for Members of the United States Congress from each party solidify friendships off the floor and on the field, it also raises money for Washington, D.C. charities.

While Republicans have their own uniform, Democrats get the opportunity to wear a jersey from a team in their district. “There is nothing I hold closer to my heart than the community that raised me: Pacoima,” said Congressman Cárdenas. “As San Fernando High School alumni always say, ‘once a tiger, always a tiger.’ I am so proud to represent my alma mater, San Fernando High School, at the Congressional Baseball Game this year, as I’ve done many times before. I look forward to bringing that Valley spirit to the field and winning with the Democrats!”
