Cárdenas Statement on the Mass Shooting in Indianapolis

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Tony Cárdenas (CA-29) released the following statement on the mass shooting at a FedEx facility in Indianapolis, Indiana:

“On the 14th anniversary of the Virginia Tech mass shooting, we woke up to the news of another senseless tragedy at a FedEx facility in Indianapolis. As we await more details, one thing is clear: Americans are tired of seeing more loss of life due to our country’s gun violence epidemic.

“Our constituents have been asking, pleading and marching for change. Enough was enough decades ago.

“It’s time for the Senate to open their eyes and take action on House-passed legislation to help protect American lives. We finally have a President who is loudly, clearly demanding that Congress put those bills on his desk. He is ready to sign them.

“The ball is in the Senate’s court. Inaction is not an option!”
